Jenna leads DTAC with a focus on traditional Shito-Ryu karate and high-performance athlete development. With over 16 years of experience, she has competed at provincial, national, and international levels — including as a Canadian National Team kumite athlete in 2025 and a decorated Pan-American Shitoryu Championships competitor with 4 Kata Gold and 3 Kumite Gold medals.

She has developed multiple Team BC athletes and coached at the BC Winter Games in 2020, 2024, and 2026. Selected as an Apprentice Coach for the 2027 Canada Games, Jenna continues to advance within high-performance coaching while receiving ongoing mentorship from Team Canada Coach Pam Ross and BC Provincial Team Coach Vanessa Restrepo.
Her coaching brings real competitive experience directly into every class — from beginner to elite.

Maria Dimitrova is the founder of Dimitrova Training Academy — established in the Dominican Republic and now operating internationally, with Dimitrova Training Academy Canada as its official North American branch. A 6th Dan in Shito-Ryu Shito-Kai, Maria brings decades of elite-level expertise as Technical Director of the Dominican Shito-Ryu Shito-Kai Association and head coach of both the Dominican Republic National Junior Team and the Dominican Air Force Karate Team. Her ongoing mentorship of Jenna Scott ensures that DTAC Canada’s curriculum remains rooted in authentic traditional karate at the highest standard of technical excellence.

High Performance Chair — Karate BC | Provincial Coach — Karate BC

Pam Ross is one of Canada’s foremost karate coaches, currently serving as Team Canada Coach and High Performance Chair for Karate BC. A specialist in high-performance kata, Pam brings national team-level coaching directly to DTAC athletes through regular sessions at the dojo. Her presence gives DTAC students access to coaching that very few clubs in Canada can offer.

BC Provincial Team Coach | Former Canadian National Team Athlete

Vanessa Restrepo brings both elite competitive experience and high-level coaching to DTAC. As a former Canadian National Team athlete and current BC Provincial Team Coach, she provides DTAC’s competitive athletes with direct access to the training and tactical insight that develops provincial and national-level competitors.

NCCP Dojo Instructor Trained

Sam has been part of DTAC since the academy opened in 2020, growing from a quiet beginner into one of the program’s most accomplished athletes and emerging coaches. In 2024, at just 13 years old, he earned selection to Team BC. The following year he returned to the provincial team, won bronze at the Canadian National Championships, and was selected to the Canadian National Team. In 2026 he joined the BC Games coaching staff, bringing his competitive experience back into the dojo as a mentor to younger athletes. Sam is a living example of the DTAC development pathway.

Gage joined DTAC in 2021 and has developed into one of the most consistently dominant competitive athletes in the program. A multi-gold medalist at the 2024 BC Winter Games and provincial gold medalist across multiple seasons, he earned selection to Team BC in both 2025 and 2026. In 2026 he claimed bronze at the Canadian National Championships and earned his place on the Canadian National Team. Gage brings competitive excellence and a proven work ethic to his role as junior instructor.

Katarina has built an impressive competitive record through DTAC, earning multiple provincial gold medals before earning her place on Team BC in 2026. A medalist at the 2024 BC Winter Games, she brings discipline, competitive experience, and a strong technical foundation to her role mentoring the next generation of DTAC athletes.

Jaimee has grown up in the sport alongside her sister and head instructor Jenna Scott, developing into an accomplished competitive athlete in her own right. A multi-year provincial gold medalist and 2024 BC Winter Games medalist, she earned her place on Team BC in 2026. Jaimee leads by example — showing up consistently, competing with heart, and being the kind of teammate and friend every team needs.

Nash has been a committed member of the DTAC community for four years. A multi-year provincial gold medalist and 2026 BC Winter Games medalist, he earned his place on Team BC in 2026, then claimed bronze at the Canadian National Championships and earned his place on the Canadian National Team — a remarkable achievement in his first national competitive season. His development reflects exactly what the DTAC pathway is designed to produce — dedicated, progressing athletes who give back to the program that built them
